Our family is just back from a wonderful stay at Hakuna Matata Villa. The house exceeded my expectations which were quite high given the other reviews and photos.
The pool was wonderful to come back to and was used daily. The location was great. Everything was ready for us on our arrival and the personal shopper had done a great job of filling my order.

Your desire to make your house comfortable was successful. We've rented a lot of houses on beaches and at resorts. But we all agreed, yours was over the top. We have never been to a house that had more than standard dishes and cook ware. We were able to make a full prime rib dinner on New Years Eve without going out to buy disposable pans. Considering there were 23 of us (at dinner), that has to be a rental house statistic of some sort! I might have mentioned that I'm an event designer, and Cara's degree is in design. Nearly all the girls help in the company in some way, so we are no strangers to tiny detail. It is always the detail that makes the difference. The fact that you chose Disney prints instead of the common "rental house art", that you put in a sofa and table and chairs that matches the number that the house accommodates, that you decorated the rooms so tastefully (by the way the photos don't do it justice!), that there were basic spices, sugars, filters, grill tools, cooking supplies.....
And then you threw in Christmas decorations and a Christmas Gift Basket!
Now, the only question that remains: Will we be able to rent another house without complaining about it?
The owner of the other house contacted me and asked how we liked the house. In all fairness, it was fine. It was clean, it had a big T.V., and it had adequate seating as long as only five of us wanted to watch T.V. or six of us wanted to eat. There were eight of us. It was really hard to put it in perspective and pretend that I'd never been to your house!

Our family stayed there with another family this past June. It was AMAZING!! We cannot say enough great things about it!! Clean, roomy and fun:)...It was so close to all the attractions and after spending the long and hot days in the parks it felt so good to feel like we were coming back to a HOME not a hotel room. There was so much room for all the kids of different ages to to what they all wanted to do. Us adults sure did enjoy the patio and pool! Absolutely wonderful place to stay. With a total of 8 people in the house, we had plenty of room and things to do. In fact, the house itself is a resort. We spent most of our time in the pool which was amazing. Jennifer and Christina thought of everything for a family on vacation. We have stayed in many houses along the coast for vacations. However, this house was BY FAR the most equiped for families with kids! It easily accomodated our family of 5 plus both sets of grandparents - and we had room to spare! Our stay was in May 2010.
It was all in the little details - everything from toys, to childrens books to booster seats to even night lights!! I could go on and on! And we were pleasantly surprised how close we were to Disney! We all enjoyed learning to play Wii and my father-in-law got hooked on the pinball machine! The kids loved sleeping in bunk beds and getting up early every morning to eat their breakfast outside near the pool.
Glad we scheduled in some "down days" to just relax, play and enjoy the house!

Well, we are back home and I wanted to share with you that our families had an absolutely WONDERFUL nine days in Orlando and just LOVED your home! Its close proximity to WDW was soooo convenient! And its spaciousness was very accommodating as were the floor plan changes you made (creating a large eating area in the kitchen and enlarging the living room space). The paint, decor & furnishings were all so very well thoughtfully execute - we truly felt as though we were staying in a resort! And the towels! Oh, how I appreciated the fluffy towels (along with the dreamy bed padding)! The kids (and us adults) loved the game room's Wii, pinball & air hockey table! What fun! And the kids were completely enamored with the Disney themes & accessories in the bedrooms! It was quite magical! The booth seating in the kitchen was so PERFECT for our group and the living room sectional was equally accommodating (my husband was able to stretch across 3 sections and there was STILL room for the rest of us)! Good choice & color on the material for the sectional, too!
We absolutely loved all of the furnishings you selected for the home. Simply tasteful & so beautiful. Please tell me where you purchased the living room coffee table! We just loved the clever design of the top sections flipping over into trays!
Thanks so very, very much for a home that made it so pleasant to keep a strenuous Disney itinerary. Our strategy to hit the parks when they opened then come back to the house for a few hours in the afternoon to swim, cool down, rest & get refreshed in time to go back in the early evenings worked like a charm.
